How it works

In the editor, click Export and choose where the video goes: one of six presets.

Adjust format, resolution, frame rate, quality and save location if you like. Glidewright shows the estimated file size and export time.

Add the export to the queue. It keeps running in the background and shows progress, remaining time and the encoder in use.

When it is done: “Show in folder”, or “Copy” to put the file on the clipboard and paste it into a chat or an email.

Portrait and square follow the cursor
Glidewright renders the normal 16:9 picture and moves a crop window along with the cursor: calm in the middle, damped when following, never past the edge. Zooms and effects stay the same.
Encoder of your graphics card
H.264 and HEVC with the GPU encoder of NVIDIA, AMD or Intel. If it fails, Glidewright switches to the Windows software encoder. AV1 appears only if your graphics card has an AV1 encoder.
Measured
RTX 3060 Ti, 15-second test project: tutorial 1080p30 in 1.5 s, YouTube 4K60 in 6.4 s, Shorts in 2.3 s. Software encoder forced: 3.1 s for 1080p30.

Questions
Do I need a graphics card with a hardware encoder?
It is recommended, not required. Without one Glidewright exports with the Windows software encoder, which takes longer: about twice as long for 1080p30 in our measurement.
What does the trial watermark look like?
“Made with Glidewright” as a small, semi-transparent pill at the bottom right of the visible picture. The editor preview has none. After the 15-day trial you buy once for €79; without a license, exporting is locked, but your projects stay openable and editable.
What happens if I cancel an export?
Glidewright writes to a hidden temporary file and only renames it at the end. A cancelled export leaves nothing behind.
How accurate is the size estimate?
It is an estimate based on measured screen recordings. Calm screens with little movement usually give smaller files.
